Getting it to you

Shipping

Most of our machines leave Ontario. We have shipped across Canada, into the United States, to Europe and to Australia. Here is what actually moves, how big it is, and what we need from you to price the freight.

What ships

Everything is crated for freight. Figures below are the crate, not the assembled machine.

Machine Crate Weight
PL-22 Garlic Planter 52" L × 48" W × 70" H Approximately 500 lb
UC-36 Garlic Undercutter Ask us Approximately 100 lb
UC-48 Garlic Undercutter Ask us Approximately 100 lb

The undercutters mount to the planter frame, so if you are buying both they travel together. If you already own a planter — including an older Garlic-EEZ one — an undercutter on its own is a small, cheap thing to ship.

What we need to quote freight

Four things. Send them and we will come back with a real number.

  1. Delivery address

The full address, not just the town. Freight is priced to a postcode.

  2. Business or residential

Residential delivery costs more on most carriers. A farm with a yard a truck can turn in is usually the cheaper option.

  3. Loading dock, or not

No dock means the truck needs a tailgate lift, which is an extra. If you have a tractor with forks you can unload yourself, say so — it saves money.

  4. When you need it

Build is one to two weeks. Tell us your planting window and we will work back from it.

Send it through the form or call 519-379-6210.

Where we ship

Canada

Straightforward. We are in Dundalk, Ontario, and most Canadian deliveries are a simple freight run. If you are close enough to collect from the shop, that is usually the cheapest option of all — call and ask.

United States

We ship into the US regularly. The machine is manufactured in Canada, which matters for customs treatment — bring your broker the country of origin and they will tell you where you stand. We will provide whatever paperwork your broker asks for.

We do not give customs or tariff advice. Classification and duty are your broker's call, and getting that wrong is expensive.

Europe, Australia and beyond

We have done it. One of our planters is working on a farm in Australia — you can see it on the homepage. Overseas freight takes longer and costs more, so start the conversation earlier than you think you need to.

When it arrives

The machine ships partly disassembled — it is 96″ long assembled and the crate is 52″, so it has to be. That is also what keeps the crate to a size that ships economically.

Check the crate before you sign for it. If there is visible damage, note it on the delivery paperwork before the driver leaves. That one step is the difference between a claim that gets paid and one that does not.

Then call us. We would rather walk you through the first setup on the phone than have you guess, and we would much rather hear about a problem in week one than in October.

Send us your row spacing, bed width, tractor horsepower and how many acres you plant. We will tell you exactly how we would configure a machine for you — and if we are not the right fit, we will say so.
