What we collect

If you fill in the quote form, we receive whatever you type into it: your name, farm, email, phone number, location, what you're interested in, roughly how much you plant, and your message. We use that to answer you and to work out how to configure a machine for you. Nothing more.

If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence so we can pick up the conversation later — particularly useful years down the line when you need a part.

If you reach us by clicking one of our ads, the address you land on carries a short tag naming the ad — for Google ads, that includes a click reference Google generates. If you then send the quote form, that tag goes with it, so we can tell which ads bring in real enquiries. That tag itself is not stored on your device; it travels in the page address and goes to us with your enquiry.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, how they found us, and whether they call, email or send the quote form. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to count return visits, and Google processes that data for us. We see totals and trends, not who you are, and we do not send Google your name, email or anything you type into the form.

Advertising features are switched off: nothing on this site uses your visit to show you ads. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland or Quebec, analytics cookies are off by default and only anonymous, cookie-free counts are sent.

To opt out everywhere, use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies for this site in your browser. The site works exactly the same either way.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. Ever.
• We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.
• We do not run advertising trackers or third-party ad pixels.
• We serve our own fonts and images from our own domain. The exceptions are Google Analytics, described above, and videos, which do not load until you press play.

Where your details go

Quote form submissions are delivered to us by our website host, Netlify, and emailed to Doug. The site itself is served as static files — there is no customer database sitting on a web server waiting to be breached.

Getting your information removed

Email doug@velocityfarmequipment.com or call 519-379-6210 and ask. We will delete what we hold on you and confirm when it is done. You do not need to give a reason.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page. It is short on purpose, so it should be easy to see what changed.
