Garlic-EEZ parts and service
If you are running a Garlic-EEZ planter or under-cutter, you are in the right place. We built it, and we still support it.
The short version
Garlic-EEZ traded from 2016 to 2022. Doug Gilbert designed and fabricated the planters, the under-cutters and the components that went on them. In early 2022 he took the operation over and renamed it Velocity Farm Equipment.
Same shop. Same address in Dundalk. Same person on the phone. The machines have been refined every season since, but a planter built in 2017 and one built last month came off the same floor.
So if you have been searching for Garlic-EEZ and finding nothing — that is why. Call us.
What to have ready when you call
The more of this you can tell us, the faster we can work out what you need. Photos help more than anything.
-
Roughly what year
Even "somewhere around 2018" narrows it down a lot.
-
How many rows
And your row spacing and in-row spacing if you know them.
-
A photo of the part
And one of the whole machine. Text them to 519-379-6210 or email doug@velocityfarmequipment.com.

Common reasons owners call
Planting wheels
Wheels set your in-row spacing, so a different spacing means a different set rather than an adjustment. If you are changing crops or spacing, this is the call to make.
Adding an undercutter
The UC-36 and UC-48 mount in place of the planting wheels. If you have a planter and have been pulling garlic out of un-loosened ground by hand, this is the upgrade worth making. Call so we can confirm the fit to your frame first.
Wear parts and hardware
Tell us what has worn or broken and send a photo. We fabricate in-house, so we are not waiting on anyone else's supply chain.
Setting it up for a different crop
Growers run these for tulips, ginseng, hops, onions, turmeric, squash and cucumbers. Potatoes need an adaptation. Tell us what you want to plant and we will tell you what it takes.
Thinking about a newer machine?
The current planter is the PL-22. Two riders, 600 to 800 cloves each per hour, row-to-row spacing adjustable, wheels made to your in-row spacing, Category 1 three-point hitch, one year warranty, one to two weeks to build.
Before you spend anything, run your own numbers through the labour cost calculator. It defaults to break-even rather than to a figure that flatters us, and it will tell you when a new machine is not worth it.
